Traveller information
Zambia is a Southern African country which presents you with everything you might expect of the region: incredible landscapes of total wilderness, diverse wildlife and safari opportunities, and of course, the iconic Victoria Falls. Although landlocked, Zambia is home to three large rivers, the Zambezi, Luangwa, and Kafue, which dictate the landscape of the country and provide the intrepid traveller with distinct routes through the rugged countryside.
If you’re looking for wildlife, then head to the South Luangwa National Park in eastern Zambia. Home to a vast variety of wildlife, including hippos, giraffes and elephants, you can take incredible tours that include safari trips and excursions along the majestic Luangwa river. Visiting Zambia will also include a trip to the Victoria Falls, a World Heritage site and one of the most spectacular destinations in all of Africa. Navigating Zambia at times can be difficult. Rough terrain, a dilapidated transports system and sparse human habitation mean that this is a trip for the hardy explorer. If you’ve got the drive, Zambia will reward you with unbridled seclusion in some of the world’s most unique landscapes.
