Traveller information

Vanuatu is a country made up of 18 different islands in the South Pacific. A land with a rich and varied cultural heritage – there are an incredible 100 different languages spoken across its coastlines – Vanuatu offers as much adventure as it does relaxation. Whether you choose to stay in one of the classy resorts in the capital of Port Vila, or head out on a rugged journey of exploration to drink kava and learn the ways of the ancient island inhabitants, Vanuatu is both enticing and a challenge.

Much of Vanuatu’s stunning beauty should be discovered on your own meandering path, but some must-sees include the Mele Cascades near Port Vila (if you do decide to stay in the capital) or the astonishing Millennium Cave outside Luganville, the country’s second largest city, on the island of Santo. Both include a wonderful adventure of crossing streams, hiking up jagged paths, floating lazily down rivers and simply wandering across unspoiled landscapes. And of course, above and below sea there is much to see and do. Snorkelling and diving are very popular across the islands with many, many tours available. Or, you can take the sleepy approach and bed down on one of Vanuatu’s incredible beaches.
