You can also visit the house – now a museum – of Scottish writer Robert Louis Stevenson, whose book Treasure Island was inspired by Samoa. Fish or meat is prepared in the traditional way, wrapped in banana leaves and cooked underground from the heat of lava rocks, producing a delicious and distinctive cuisine.

Venture out into the countryside to witness first-hand the majesty of the terrain where waterfalls, cave pools and lush vegetation combine to form a unique landscape.
