Clari Health CBD Travel Clinic now offers the Pre-departure COVID-19 PCR Swab Test for individuals who are travelling abroad. Singapore’s Ministry of Health has made it compulsory for anyone who is leaving the country to take the test in a specific window of time prior to departure.

Who is eligible to take the Pre-Departure PCR Swab Test?
All individuals above the age of 12 who are planning to travel out of Singapore or have scheduled a trip out of Singapore are eligible to take the Pre-Departure PCR Swab Test. Singaporean citizens, PRs and foreign passport holders alike can book an appointment in advance and come in to Clari Health to take this test.
If you are not travelling and wish to take a voluntary COVID-19 PCR swab test for any other purpose, you may also book an appointment online. However, you MUST NOT be unwell when coming in for your appointment. We only offer testing for healthy individuals. Please disregard the information that follows and come in for your appointment per scheduled – you do not need to bring any documents or meet any particular criteria.
What is the window for Pre-Departure testing?
Generally, Pre-Departure PCR Swab testing is done 48-72 hours prior to the departure of your flight. However, this varies depending on your destination country. Please check with the immigration authority of your destination country or while applying for your visa about the window in which your Pre-departure test should be done. Clari Health will not be able to advise you on this.
Please note that you are strongly advised to come in at least 48 hours before your flight departure time so that you can receive your results on time even if there are any delays in the processing of your results. We do not guarantee the timely processing of your Pre-departure test if you come in less than 48 hours prior to departure.
What do I need to bring to my test appointment?
The Ministry of Health of Singapore has made it compulsory for those who are visiting clinics for the Pre-departure PCR Swab testing to furnish the following documents during registration at the clinic:
- Your Singapore Identity Card or FIN card
- Your passport (the one that you will be using to travel)
- A copy of your flight booking or itinerary
If you do not bring any of the aforementioned documents, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment. Please also remember to check in advance with the immigration authority or visa issuing authority of your destination country about the window in which your Pre-departure swab test must be done.
What is the fee for the COVID-19 Pre-departure PCR swab test?
Clari Health charges $200 for pre-departure tests for travel to all countries except China. There will be a fee of $240 for such a test required for travel to China. This is due the more extensive testing parameters required for travel to China (additional serology test).
Payment can be made at the end of your appointment through credit or debit cards, cash or PayNow.
When will I receive my Pre-departure Swab test results?
Clari Health provides you with the assurance that you will get your swab test results and pre-departure certification within 5 hours of us receiving it from our partner laboratories. This period is to allow us time to process your results and create the relevant documentation for you to present prior to your departing flight.
Although our partner laboratories, accredited by the Ministry of Health, aim to process all swab test results between 1-2 days, please be aware that there may be unforeseen delays in either the processing of your results by the laboratory or in the delivery of their results to our clinic. Clari Health cannot be held liable for an event in which you are unable to receive your Pre-Departure Swab test 3 hours prior to the departure of your flight.
Can I still come in for my Pre-departure test if I am feeling unwell?
Please note that Clari Health will only offer pre-departure PCR testing to healthy individuals. If you are experiencing any acute or chronic respiratory symptoms and/or running a temperature of above 37.5 degrees celsius when you come in for your appointment, we will not proceed with the testing.
This is to ensure the safety of our staff and health workers.
If you are experiencing other forms of illness such as gastro-intestinal problems (vomiting, diarrhoea etc) or migraines, or have chronic illnesses such as heart disease or diabetes, please note that you are welcome to come in for the PCR swab test. The swab test is perfectly safe but any distress or lingering pain caused by the test cannot be held liable against Clari Health.
Do I need to do anything specific or follow any regimen before coming in for my PCR swab test appointment?
No, any healthy individual above the age of 12 can come in for the swab test without any prior preparation. There is no need to follow any specific regimen such as fasting prior to the test.
Please however note that you must not be experiencing any respiratory symptoms or running a fever when you come in for your appointment.
