Haiti is a Caribbean paradise that has been marred by natural disasters, yet this island still has so much to offer to travellers. It might not be a rich nation in financial terms but it could be considered wealthy in terms of its natural beauty and cultural heritage. Mountains, white sandy beaches, clear blue sea and luscious greenery will make any tourist’s heart sing. With many luxury hotels setting up on the island, maybe it’s time for a visit.

The capital city Port au Prince is leading the way when it comes to tourism. Luxury hotels are setting up here in their droves to take advantage of the rich culture available for visitors to enjoy. With African, European and Caribbean influences, there is delicious fusion cuisine on offer in the city as well as an extremely vibrant music scene. There are many bars and clubs to frequent, all playing live music with unique beats. Cap-Haitien is also a great place to visit with its stunning French colonial architecture. Jacmel on the south coast is also stunning, especially if you head to the Bassin-Blue: beautiful blue pools which are fed by waterfalls and surrounded by greenery.
